Parent/Student Resources

Parental involvement is a combination of commitment and active participation on the part of parent to the school and to the student. As parents you can ensure that your child receives the benefits from parental involvement by staying up to date on what is happening in the classroom.

Tulsa Public Schools is committed to helping your child develop the academic knowledge and critical thinking he or she needs to succeed in school and beyond. As a result, these involvement opportunities empower parents to take action. By connecting parents to school officials, community members, other parents, knowledge, and powerful allies, these opportunities build bridges and networks that support schools and sustain whole communities.

Carver Communications

The Carver PTSA works with the Carver administration and staff to send out weekly email to keep Carver families informed.

Carver emails are intended for current Carver student families. If you would like to be added to our email list, you will need to specify your student's name, grade and one parent name. Please send your request to carveremails@gmail.com.

Carver Middle School Foundation

Mission

The Carver Middle School Foundation was formed in 1992 by Tulsa business and civic leaders, parents and supporters.  The Foundation’s primary objective is to support Carver’s students by

  • organizing alumni and patrons to promote and strengthen Carver Middle School
  • obtaining grants, donations, gifts and bequests to be used exclusively for the benefit of Carver Middle School, its students and faculty
  • Promoting educational excellence at Carver Middle School by financially assisting programs and projects for the enrichment of Carver Middle Schools' academic, cultural and other activities

Each school year, the Foundation meets with the Carver Middle School principal to identify priority needs that could potentially be fulfilled with the Foundation’s assistance. Teachers and certified staff may also apply for individual grants, which are reviewed for applicability of the project and its benefit to the students.

PARENT TEACHER Student ASSOCIATION

Strong school and family partnerships are integral to the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. We welcome our parents, guardians, and families to be involved with their child's school as volunteers, advocates, and partners in education. Joining Carver's Parent Teacher Student Association and attending meetings regularly is a great way to stay engaged with your child's school community.

VOLunteer

Check with your child's teacher(s) or school leadership team to find out how you can help out before, during, and after the school day. Volunteers must complete an application and security screening. Contact tpsinfo@tulsaschools.org for more information.
