The 2022 Black Wall Street Awareness Bowls took place for middle and high school students in May. Students answered questions about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and the Greenwood neighborhood.

Student success coordinator Jamaal Dyer says: "I am passionate about Black Wall Street and I want to make sure students know the rich history. The students did a great job studying and competing. A huge thanks goes out to all schools that participated and the advisors who coached the teams!"

Middle school students from Carver, Monroe Demonstration Academy, Rogers, and Tulsa Legacy Charter competed on May 10. On May 11, students from Booker T. Washington, Central, East Central, and McLain high schools faced off. Each group also visited the Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center.
