Shane Wise is the 2025-2026 Carver Middle School Teacher of the Year!
Shane joined Team Tulsa in 1998. He has taught social studies at Carver for four years. We asked him a few questions to learn more about him and his time in Tulsa Public Schools.
What led you to a career in education?
My family's value of public service and the inspiring teachers from my schooling.
What is your favorite thing about your work?
Building meaningful relationships with my students and colleagues.
What is one thing you are passionate about outside of teaching?
Family, religion, and bowling.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
My twin brother, Clayton Wise, who was Teacher of the Year for Patrick Henry Elementary last year now works with me at Carver Middle School.
