Tulsa Public Schools has launched the 2025 Family Feedback Survey. This district-wide initiative provides an opportunity for families to share their thoughts on how we are serving you and your students this school year. Your input is invaluable in helping us improve and enhance our services, and we look forward to hearing from you!

How do you take the new 2025 Family Feedback Survey?

To complete the new survey, visit www.tulsaschools.org/survey. You will be required to enter a student ID number to confirm that you are a parent/guardian of a Tulsa Public Schools student. We encourage families to complete the survey at least once. You also have the option to complete it once per student if you wish - you’ll just enter a different student ID number each time, answering the questions based on each student’s experiences.

Last spring, we asked you to join our first Family Feedback Survey. We are committed to listening to our students and families. We looked at over 2,000 anonymous survey responses and took your input seriously.

Here are some of the things we heard:

  • 74% of respondents indicated they are broadly satisfied with the district and feel good about the overall direction of TPS and its educational services;
  • A majority of respondents agreed that Tulsa Public Schools offers a warm and supportive environment for students;
  • Most people said they felt their child’s teachers and staff worked together as a team to benefit students and that they were aware of important things happening at school; and
  • When asked about how using data can support the growth of their students, many people felt less confident about what that means and how information is being used “to find where my child might need extra help.”

As we seek to continuously improve and offer exceptional service to families and experiences for young people, we know there are ways we can improve. These survey results help us understand how we can do better.

In response to some of the concerns we heard from families, our teams and schools are:

  • Giving students in elementary and secondary grades more opportunities to learn about positive and respectful interactions with peers through guided lessons and small groups;
  • Providing coaching and professional learning opportunities for school leaders and teachers so that they can better address a wide range of challenges that students are facing;
  • Addressing distractions that affect student experiences, supported by a new policy around cellular devices that is aimed at enhancing the focus on learning during the school day;
  • Providing all guardians with weekly progress reports on student grades and attendance;
  • Striving to build and maintain strong connections with families through regular communication and participation in parent/teacher conferences; and
  • Focusing on supporting students and families to improve attendance by providing resources and helping remove barriers. The launch of the Attend to Win Friend program helps families understand why attendance is important, highlights available resources, and builds relationships with students so they are excited about learning every day.

We are proud of the steps we have taken to help enhance the overall student experience since our last Family Feedback Survey and we look forward to hearing from you again as we near the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
