    Assistant Principal
       Carver Middle School

After graduating from Cleveland High School (Cleveland, OK) in 1985, I walked on to the Rogers State Lady Thunderbird basketball team. Unfortunately the athletic department was discontinued the following year due to budget cuts, so I transferred to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and finished my Bachelor of Science in Health/Physical Education.

After several stops in smaller districts throughout northeastern Oklahoma (teaching numerous classes and coaching numerous sports) I had the opportunity to come to Tulsa Public Schools. From 2004 until 2006, I taught Health/Physical Education and coached basketball, soccer, and softball at Nathan Hale High School. In May of 2006, I completed my Masters of Public School Administration through Northeastern State University, Broken Arrow, OK.

I was also a member of the Aspirant Leadership Academy through Tulsa Public Schools from 2006-2007.

In 2007 I had the opportunity to become the Dean of Attendance at Nathan Hale High School and worked at that position until being named the Assistant Principal at Carver Middle School.

During my time at Carver Middle School I have come to appreciate the advantages of the Middle Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate. This rigorous college prep program provides our students with a global vision that prepares them for life after high school and into college.
