Biographies - What are they? Where are they?
- bio = life
- graph = writing
- A biography is writing about someone’s life.
- In the library, go to the 92’s for single biographies. Look for the letter of the person’s last name.
- In the library, go to the 920’s for books with many biographies. Find a book that might have your person. Use the index.
- Use encyclopedias online and on the shelf. Use the index for book encyclopedias.
- Use online references such as Student Research Center, SIRS Discoverer, Grolier History Resource Center.
- YOU CAN E-MAIL ARTICLES FROM THE ONLINE REFERENCES.
- Use search engines like Clusty.com or Google.com to find official sites or museums about your person.
- Document your sources as you work!
