Copyright Friendly Music & Sounds

Sometimes you have to download the music to hear it.  When at school, please download music in My Documents/My Music on the computer you are using.  If you decide to use it, move it to where ever you need it.
  • Audactiy - A free program that lets you record your voice.  It has many uses.  This is what we have been using for podcasts.
    • Audacity download site Notes:  1)If you are at school, you will need to get the site tech to download this to your computer.  2)Audacity with Lame is already downloaded on some computers in the library.
    • Download Lame so that you can export as MP3's

  • INCOMPETECH  - Mostly original music that the artist, Kevin MacLeod has made availalbe to the public.  It is organized by genre.  You have to download the music to hear it.
  • JamStudio  JamStudio is a web 2.0 application that allows you to create your own music.
  • MusOpen  - Mostly classical music.  Money has been raised to provide this music for free use by the public. You have to download the music to hear it.
  • Public Domain 4 U - You DON'T have to download the music to preview it.  It has its own player.  Information about each music piece is also provided.
